Schedule Relaxation and Break Time to Keep Your Work-Life Balance in Check
Whether you're hopelessly overworked by a slave-driving boss, or you do what you love for a living and have a hard time walking away from it at the end of the day, the simplest of tricks may be just what you need as a reminder to take breaks, recharge, and spend time with the important people in your life: schedule them like any other appointment or meeting.
It may sound cold, but we've talked about how important it is to use a fixed schedule to keep that balance strong, how you can schedule your work to avoid interruptions, why not apply the same principle to making sure you get away from work and take time to recharge your batteries? The blog Simple Life Habits explains that if you're the type to forget to do those things that are good for you because you're just "too busy," making sure to lock them into your schedule may be just the kick in the pants you need to get up from your desk, go for a walk, or spend time with family and friends.
