Linda's Talk for Today

Hello my fans!!  Today is April 6, 2025.  As have mentioned in the past I was diagnosed with als January 31, 2023.  So far I am hanging in  there.  It takes up to a year to diagnosed so you figure 2022, 2023, 2024, and nowbits 2025.  I have lost some mobility,  do gave caregiver to assist me to bathroom,  getting dress, shower, my hair, make my food,  etc.  She comes 6 hours a day 6 days a week.  Having a caregiver can be very challenging they aren't what they Crack up to be.  Since I am currently living with my daughter in Irvine CA they are very hard to come by.  I have had some health challenges since diagnosed. Got deed tube put in even though still can eat pureed food that was two years ago.   If you ask me that was way too soon but Dr's love insurances money.   Have been dealing with chronic venous insufficiency and getting sores wounds due to mostly sitting and less walking with walker.   Use wheel chair more now.  So been going through vein surgery to correct next is supposed to be last treatment.   Then sonogram of both legs to make sure all vein are closed.  Had to have an MRI done of my pelvis bad experience since I have als pains in shoulders and arms.   They found blockages in my one pelvis so had two surgeries and stent put in.  I ended up getting horrific allergic reaction from the dye had to take steroids for a week.  Boy I tell you als is a cruel disease.   Now it's month by month.  I Peay it will be long in time for me to go.  I  can still stand up and walk some, still, eat, etc etc.   My brain is still sharp, so far can breathe.  I am very scared but doing my best and keeping my faith in God for a miracle.  Miracles happens everyday.
