Robert Kiyosaki shares a secret about his wife Kim EBlast 12/22/09

There is a saying that goes, “Behind every successful man is a powerful woman.” In my case, this saying is definitely true. The secret is that I would not have achieved the success I have, if not for my wife Kim.

Sometimes I wonder where I would be if not for her.

When we met, all I had was a lot of debt, a ton of mistakes, great lessons in life, and a dream. She was willing to share a life with me, even though I had nothing, in order to make those dreams come true.

Through that journey, we both learned a lot about finances and life. The truth is, because of the lessons we learned, I know that Kim will always be secure, even if something ever happened to me.

Today, we both have gone far beyond those early dreams and currently are living life beyond those of our wildest imagination. It’s no secret that Kim did not marry me for my money, because when we met I was out of money. As to investing, all I did was teach her what my Rich Dad taught me. She took to investing like a duck to water. Today, she is a better investor than I am, putting together deals far bigger than I have ever done. Knowing that Kim is an expert investor gives me great peace of mind because I know that she will always be able to take care of herself.

80% of woman face poverty at some point in their lives. Often this is because the successful husband dies and leaves his finances to a woman who has no financial education. I know that will never happen to Kim. She is a self-made woman. A Rich Woman. Kim is my idea of a role model for a modern woman – smart, loving, kind, fun, beautiful, independent, and rich.

That is why I am very proud to be inviting you or a loved one to attend Kim’s First Annual Rich Woman International Forum.

When it comes to money and investing, Kim knows what she is talking about. I have seen her grow from a young woman who knew nothing about money and investing to a rich woman who is an authority on the subject. Kim surrounds herself with savvy advisors and together, they all practice what they preach.

Take this opportunity for you or a loved woman in your life to:

Learn how to analyze key aspects of real estate deals from Kim Kiyosaki and Leslie Brice, who is also an experienced real estate investor.
Learn how to invest in paper assets from a seasoned pro, Kim Snider.
Experience the effects of becoming your own “personal brand” from expert Kathy Heasley.
See how a serial inventor, Kim Babjak, gets product ideas off the ground and into the market – profitably.
Hear how a property management pro picks the right properties and manages them for cash flow.
Learn from a gold and silver guru, Mike Maloney, about where the economy is, where it is going, how to hedge inflation, deflation and everything in between… while making money in the process.
Heart transplant specialist, Dr. Radha Gopalan will uniquely explain how your heath and life depend upon you being true to yourself.
Buddhist Nun, Tenzin Kacho, encourages you to discover the “three regrets” that many people face towards the end of their lives and learn how to banish them from your life…forever.
To all women, in these challenging economic times, this is YOUR TIME to learn and grow. Register today and join my wife Kim and her powerhouse Rich Woman World Advisors as they get you started on your personal success journey.

Thank you,

Love in the Long Term

How do you know if you are truly in love? Is your new love the ‘real deal,” or are they just the “flavor of the month?” What are the things that can make the person in your life that special someone, the one you have been waiting for your whole life.

To understand the deeper meaning of your relationship, just start by asking yourself some simple questions. Here are a few:

“What does love mean to me?”
Write down all your thoughts and feelings about what a loving relationship would be like for you. The act of putting your thoughts on paper is the first step towards sorting out any questions in your mind. Writing can go a long way to self-discovery.

“Is it love or infatuation?”
Try to identify the difference between love and lust. Lust is an intense sexual desire. Infatuation refers to the initial stage of a relationship. Remember that if you are “crazy” about your new love, this feeling may fade over time. The infatuation phase of a typical relationship is the first six months. A lust is healthy in a relationship, but just makes sure there is something more long term between you and your partner.

“What do you think?”

Ask other people, friends and family. How do they define love? How do they know if they loved someone? A good circle of friends will give you a better perspective on love. True friends want you to be in love. Love makes everyone a better person.

“How do I feel?”
Make a list. Organize your thoughts. Write down how you do feel about your partner. Do you enjoy their company? What interests do the two of you have in common? Do you feel safe with them? Do you trust them?

“How are we doing?”
Think about how well the two of you relate to each other. Be honest with yourself. Do you communicate well with each other? Have you argued in the past? How do you handle disagreements (and there will be disagreements)? Does it start a conversation or a fight?

“Do I act the same when I am not with them?”
Are you acting differently when you are around your partner? Do your friends comment on how you seem to be happier (or sadder) when you are alone with them?

“Do I love them or just a few things about them?”
Ask yourself if you accept your partner as a whole person. Do not just love the parts of them you like, but love the person they are. Small things, like leaving the cap off the toothpaste, may grow to be major annoyances as years go on.

The heart of a loving relationship is realizing that it is not just you or just your partner. It is the both of you and how you work together. The dynamic you have with your partner is what keeps a relationship alive. The sum of a relationship is greater than the individual parts.

Love can be the most important part of your life; it goes a long way to keep you happy and healthy. Everyone deserves a shot at true happiness. For long-term happiness, you only need to take the time to understand your partner and ask yourself some basic questions. You (and your partner) will benefit.

My horoscope for Tuesday, December 22, 2009

No matter which road you choose to go down, there's something at the end of it that was well worth the trip. Luck is on your side, and it feels great to have such positive energy surrounding you. People with negative attitudes aren't welcome in your presence, and if they insist on telling you that what you want to do isn't possible, you're likely to show them the door. Now that you realize each and every moment is too precious to waste, you can't wait to get started living the rest of your life. For maximum enjoyment, be sure you choose a partner who feels the same way.

Conspiracy of the Rich - Online Exclusive Update #20

Where Has All The Money Gone? (Six Ways To Get Your Share of the Bailout Money)

Every day the Fed is printing billions of dollars. Yet, ordinary people are still struggling, unemployment is rising, and houses are being foreclosed. So, where has all that money gone? In his latest Conspiracy of the Rich Bulletin, Robert explains where the money is going…and gives six ways you can get in on the action.

"As most of the world knows by now, the Fed and most of the world’s governments are printing money. In fact, they’ve printed more money in one year than has been printed in the last one hundred years. So the question is, where has the money gone? If trillions have been printed, why are so many businesses failing, why is unemployment climbing, and why are homes being lost to foreclosure? Some people have received a lot of money, but have you received your share of bailout money?"

Here is the Friday Story from Bob Proctor 12/18/09

White Envelopes

It's just a small, white envelope stuck among the branches of our Christmas tree. No name, no identification, no inscription. It has peeked through the branches of our tree for the past 10 years or so.

It all began because my husband Mike hated Christmas. Oh, not the true meaning of Christmas, but the commercial aspects of it, overspending, the frantic running around at the last minute to get a tie for Uncle Harry and the dusting powder for Grandma, the gifts given in desperation because you couldn't think of anything else.

Knowing he felt this way, I decided one year to bypass the usual shirts, sweaters, ties and so forth. I reached for something special just for Mike. The inspiration came in an unusual way. Our son, Kevin, who was 12 that year was wrestling at the junior level at the school he attended, and shortly before Christmas, there was a non-league match against a team sponsored by an inner-city church.

These youngsters, dressed in sneakers so ragged that shoestrings seemed to be the only thing holding them together, presented a sharp contrast to our boys in the spiffy blue and gold uniforms and sparkling new wrestling shoes. As the match began I was alarmed to see that the other team was wrestling without headgear, a kind of light helmet designed to protect a wrestler's ears. It was a luxury the ragtag team obviously could not afford. Well, we ended up walloping them. We took every weight class. And as each of their boys got up from the mat, he swaggered around in his tatters with false bravado, a kind of street pride that couldn't acknowledge defeat. Mike, seated beside me, shook his head sadly, "I wish one of them could have won," he said. "They have a lot of potential, but losing like this could take the heart right out of them." Mike loved kids, all kids, and he knew them, having coached little league football, baseball and lacrosse.

That's when the idea of his present came. That afternoon, I went to a local sporting goods store and bought an assortment of wrestling headgear and shoes and sent them anonymously to the inner-city church. On Christmas Eve, I placed the envelope on the tree, the note inside telling Mike what I had done and that this was his gift from me. His smile was the brightest thing about Christmas that year and in succeeding years. For each Christmas, I followed the tradition, one year sending a group of mentally handicapped youngsters to a hockey game, another year a check to a pair of elderly brothers whose home had burned to the ground the week before Christmas, and on and on. The envelope became the highlight of our Christmas. It was always the last thing opened on Christmas morning and our children, ignoring their new toys, would stand with wide-eyed anticipation as their dad lifted the envelope from the tree to reveal its contents. As the children grew, the toys ga ve way to more practical presents, but the envelope never lost its allure. The story doesn't end there.

You see we lost Mike last year due to dreaded cancer. When Christmas rolled around, I was still so wrapped in grief that I barely got the tree up. But Christmas Eve found me placing an envelope on the tree, and in the morning, it was joined by three more.

Each of our children, unbeknownst to the others, had placed an envelope on the tree for their dad. The tradition has grown and someday will expand even further with our grandchildren standing around the tree with wide-eyed anticipation watching as their fathers take down the envelope. Mike's spirit, like the Christmas spirit, will always be with us.

Nancy W. Gavin

This story is a true story and inspired four siblings from Atlanta, GA to start The White Envelope Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting this tradition and charitable giving. The White Envelope Project founders are regularly in touch with the family in the article and are thrilled to have their support. The Gavin family and now thousands of others continue to celebrate the "white envelope" tradition each year. Living Healthy is S I M P L E

Living Healthy is
SIMPLE

HERE ARE FEW THINGS TO CONSIDER:

Take care of what you already have.
Maintain the health you have now. If you feel you are not living as healthy as you want, start with this moment! The past is history. Your new life is here. Every day you are one step closer to achieving the health goals you set. Take care of your body and soul—by taking action now.

Get moving

Introducing exercise into your life can be the most important thing a person can do to reach a healthy lifestyle. It is something you can do today. A short 20 minutes of walking can be a good start. Exercise does not mean hours in an expensive gym or hundreds of dollars of special equipment. All you need is an open door. Go outside and walk. Start slow and have fun! Pace yourself. If you try to do too much at once, you run the risk of burnout. Even a few minutes can be fine—anything is a good start! A healthy lifestyle is a process and takes one day at a time.

Make healthier diet choices.
You do not have to give up the things you love to be on the road to health. Start small and be creative. Introduce some new vegetables into your diet. Find some healthy foods you like and add them to your diet. Read labels and watch salt, sugar and fat counts.

Watch what you eat.

In a healthy lifestyle, the amount you eat is as important as the food you eat. Small snacks several times a day are better for your body than three huge meals. Your body is like an engine, and small bursts of energy will keep your engine running smoothly. Invest in a small kitchen scale. It does not have to be expensive. You can find them at the thrift store. Use it and keep aware of the size of your food portions. Monitor your eating habits by starting a food journal. You may be surprised the amounts of food you consume, sometimes without even knowing!

Do not “lose weight”—be healthy.

It is important for a healthy lifestyle to keep a proper weight. In addition, no one likes to be told they need to lose a few pounds. If your health goal is only to lose weight, you will be less successful. The idea for a healthy lifestyle is to feel better and live better. Taking care of you should be the reason for any lifestyle changes. The goal is to be happy with yourself and your body, no matter your size.

Talk with an expert.
Take the time to get regular checkups, including blood pressure and diabetes. Have a conversation with your doctor or health professional. If you have any family history of health problems, it is essential to talk with them about any changes to your lifestyle. They can guide you in how important it is to maintain good health.

Health is something that cannot be rushed. The most successful lifestyle changes are ones that come gradually. It is impossible to force wellbeing. Nevertheless, you can always take an active part in creating the lifestyle you want.

The best thing for your body is to start slow and let your wellbeing build naturally. You will find that with good things, one positive step will lead to the next. Healthiness can be like a snowball rolling down a hill. It will grow on itself.

Do you know what your passion or mission is?

Many people don’t, and they have a hard time finding it. To find your passion or mission you have to dig deep inside. Here are some questions Kiyosaki suggested to get you started:

* Are there any activities or thoughts that absorb you so thoroughly you lose track of time?
* What subjects do you find most exciting to talk about?
* Who are your heroes? What is it about them that you admire and want to emulate?
* Do you have any skills or talents that inspire self-confidence and pride?
* When you have a free afternoon, how do you choose to spend it?
* If you had all the money you needed to pursue a hobby or a special project, what would it be?
* Do you subscribe to magazines or read books? What sort of reading material excites you?
* If you could develop a “dream” business for yourself, what would it be?

It may help to talk about your passions with people whom you know well and trust. Sometimes other people can read our souls when we can’t. Once you become aware of your passion, you can determine your mission and begin to feed it.

So find your passion and develop that passion to your advantage as a way to fulfill your dreams in life. I would have to hear what your passion and or mission is!!!!!

Children Will Wake Up Homeless..........

On Thursday, December 3, 2009, Federal Reserve Bank Chairman, Ben Bernanke, went before the US Senate defending his job as head of the most powerful central bank in the world. He is up for reconfirmation for a 4 year term at the end of December.

It was one of the roughest cross-examinations by the Senate I have ever seen. Watching Mr. Bernanke explain himself, I almost felt sorry for him. I believe he is a good man, but unfortunately, as a Princeton professor, he is out of his league and out of touch with the world. In order to keep his job he cannot tell the truth. He is swimming in turbulent waters, filled with sharks from Wall Street and Washington, defending the most powerful people in the world, the group I define as the Conspiracy of the Rich (COR)

In my book, Conspiracy of the Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money, I stated that the idea of central bank was opposed by our founding fathers such as President George Washinton and Thomas Jefferson. It was Jefferson who stated over two hundred years ago:

"If the American people ever allow private banks (the Fed) to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that grow up and around them will deprive the people of their prosperity until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Even Countries Are Going Bankrupt!

Over the holidays, Dubai dropped a bombshell – they can’t pay their debts. In the irony of all ironies, they want to sell bonds (debt) to cover their delinquent debt. In his latest Conspiracy of the Rich Bulletin, Robert explains how Dubai isn’t the only country doing this…and what it means for you.

"In simple terms, Dubai said, 'We cannot pay our debts.' The world stock markets fell and then slowly recovered. Had it not been a holiday, the damage from Dubai’s announcement might have been far greater because the global panic could have crashed the world markets."

Bob Proctor's Here is your Friday Story! This is a great story on fear!

Taking Control

Approximately 10 years ago, on a freezing July night, the cold, hard, truth hit me like a freight train.

NO ONE WAS COMING TO MY RESCUE.

On our bedroom floor, my wife was giving birth to our son, he'd come so quickly that we had just called the hospital to tell them we were on our way. But we never made it out of the house.

The complication was he was breech, and when he had come out to his shoulders, the contractions stopped and he stopped coming. My wife and I stayed calm, but for all my trying I just could not get his head out.

While this was happening my sister had called an ambulance, but we were stuck in this position for about 15 minutes before they arrived and were able to fully deliver him.

What I didn't realise was that the umbilical cord was obstructed and our baby was suffering asphyxiation. When he was finally born our boy was blue, and his heart rate was 40 beats per minute when it should have been 140 beats per minute.

As the paramedics worked on our son, pumping oxygen into his lungs, with a hand pump, I went outside to talk to God.

I'd been studying faith at a local church for a while, and had achieved some small successes. One of the scriptures that has always impressed on me the most was Mark 11:24 "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be though removed and be though cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he says."

This scripture told me I had to take responsibility in the situation, and not wait for something to happen, but make something happen.

I felt strength flow through me as I reminded God what this scripture said. I told God that I was not going to ask for anything but that I was going to take control of the situation.

I had a strong belief that parents are supposed to protect their children, not just naturally but spiritually as well.

I also could not accept the idea that a child would be born just to die ten minutes later.

After my conversation with God I felt fearless and determined. When I went back into the house the main paramedic pulled me aside and asked me if he could have a word with me. With a grim look on his face and a professional tone in his voice he told me, "I don't think the little blokes gonna make it."

This was a defining moment, I refused to become afraid and accept his opinion!

Looking directly into his eyes I replied "No he is going to be fine." I know I must have had a look that said I meant business, because the paramedic backed off immediately with a quick reply "Yer Okay".

It's amazing how quickly people will change their mind and come into agreement with you when you are clear and absolute about something.

Upon entering the hospital I repeated with conviction "No he's going to make it, He's gonna be just fine," to any one that spoke to me.

As I stood back and watched Doctors and Nurses buzzing around my son in a hive of activity, things became surreal.

A smiling woman in a white coat approached, "You know when they called in, I thought they'd be bringing in a dead baby, but it's a miracle, they've done a great job, he's looking good."

Of course our baby did survive.

But the next day he was placed in intensive care. At a meeting with the head of intensive care, the Doctor explained to us that our baby was "fitting" and this was most likely because he would have suffered brain damage and organ damage due to the lack of oxygen he received during birth. At this point, once again I reassured the Doctor, "No, don't worry, he's going to be just fine." Because of what we had just been through, I thought there's no way I'm going to start backing off now.

About this time we were interviewed by the hospital psychologist, to see how we were handling the fact our baby would be severely handicapped. After the meeting my wife sneaked a peek at the psychologist's clipboard and notes. Among other things, my wife noticed the statement "This couple is not prepared for failure." It was not written as a positive statement, but I found it incredibly empowering.

The ward is divided intoten sections. Sectionone for the sickest babies and our son was in this section. Some babies are in sectionone for months and some never get well. However, withintwo days our son was in sectionthree and inthree days he was in section nine. Within anotherthree days we were taking him home in absolutely perfect condition.

Since that time I have pushed myself to learn as much as possible about this incredible power that saved my son's life.

What I have learnt I have applied to many different areas of my life, I have used this power to transform my near bankrupt, failing business into a thriving prosperous company that has allowed me an income that has totally changed my lifestyle.

I have seen this power make cancer and arthritis completely disappear from people's bodies.

I have seen it transform children with learning difficulties and sleeping problems into peaceful intelligent, happy kids.

I have seen it do many incredible, wonderful things in relationships, and every area of life. I believe this power controls the world, and I believe it exists for the benefit of mankind.

I truly believe it's the answer to every obstacle we face.

"And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." John8:32

Conspiracy of the Rich - Online Exclusive Update #17

Are You Mad as Hell?

CNBC’s Jim Cramer is having a bad year. Being listed as #7 on Mad magazine’s twenty dumbest people for 2009 isn’t helping. In his latest Conspiracy of the Rich bulletin, Robert discusses how to avoid being placed on your own list of dumbest people by utilizing financial education to beat the system.

"I also want to know why CNBC allows Cramer’s frat-brat boyish antics to appear as financial education. Are Cramer’s viewers still in college, or is CNBC just that out of touch with their markets and customers? If I were an investor who looked to CNBC for credible financial information, I would be mad as hell and subscribe to MAD magazine instead. At least I might receive some credible financial information."

Sometimes the best truths are found in humor. In Robert’s latest Conspiracy of the Rich bulletin, Robert highlights Mad Magazine's twenty dumbest people and events for 2009, and how multi-billion dollar bailouts hurt the middle class.

The January 2010 issue, on your newsstands now, is dedicated to the twenty dumbest people, events, and things of 2009. Some of my favorite people made the list, such as former Vice-President Dick Cheney, Jon and Kate Gosselin (of Jon and Kate Plus Eight), David Letterman, and, of course, Sarah Palin. If you want to remain sane, get Mad Magazine…because sometimes all you can do is laugh at absurdity.

Not long ago I woke up with a "brown" taste in my mouth and everything started to just go wrong! I remember thinking, "Why is everyone against me!" Then I stopped and thought, "Wait a minute! Not everyone is against me!"

I grabbed a note pad and started writing down the names of everyone that was openly resisting my efforts to just live in peace and joy. Three....That's right - 3 people! Then I thought about how many people were "in favor" of me and supported me in some way. Double digits! Then I thought globally. Most people don't even know I exist and out of the ones that do know me and have some interaction with me they remain involved in their own lives and are basically "neutral" toward me.

Then I started thinking about how out of ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE EARTH only 3 people resisted me and how much time did I spend a day interacting with these three people? On even the worst days I couldn't think of more than a few minutes of actual interaction. So then I thought about ALL THE NEGATIVE ENCOUNTERS that I had in a single day. You know everything from the guy who cuts you off in traffic to the rude comment by someone I don't even know. I was hard pressed on even the WORST day to find more than 5-15 minutes of actual interaction with unpleasant people a day!

This reality hit me with insight! There have been times when my 24 hour day has been ruined by 15 minutes (and in most cases less than 15 minutes) a day of actual interaction with negative people! How could that be possible? I survived the 15 minutes so why did this ruin my entire day? Even when I was "cussed" and "cursed" the words didn't hurt me and the curses never came to pass. Everything that was spoken against me was a threat and did not manifest as a reality! How could something as false and "unreal" as a "threat" ruin my day?

The answer is simple. The threat got into my own thinking and contaminated my mind. People annoyed me for less than 15 minutes and I annoyed myself in my thinking for 23 hours 45 minutes or more a day and I ruined my day! Now I have learned to put my focus on the positives in my life and to be grateful for all that I have!

Life is all about choices. Is the glass half full or half empty? You decide.

"Most people think that making decisions is hard, especially financial decisions, so they end up burying their heads in the sand, hoping someone else will make their decisions for them. The thing to realize is that by not making decisions, we are really making decisions anyway. We are really deciding that we will continue to do what we have done up until now."

The Fed Says Forget The Little Guy

Some things never seem to change. The Fed continues to back big banks and powerful corporations at the expense of the little guy. In his latest Conspiracy of the Rich Bulletin, Robert Kiyosaki talks about Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke’s latest speech, why it’s just more financial mumble jumble, and what it means for you. You don’t want to miss this insightful analysis.
The tragedy is that while the Fed bails out multi-millionaires and big banks, it is the little guy that pays the price. California schools are now letting go of Vice-Principles, counselors, and librarians to save money. Today in America, billionaires get bailout money, and teachers and our children pay the price.

A few END-OF-THE-DAY questions for YOU!

Did I make someone giggle, smile or laugh today?

Did I take the time to really listen to someone today, with rapt attention, as if nothing else mattered in that precious moment but the words they spoke and the look in their eyes?

Did I allow myself to focus on all the blessings in my life today instead of contemplating the things I don't have?

Did I take a moment to imagine what I would like to experience in my life, if for no other reason than in the imagining, is the living, and in the living, comes the joy and delight?

Did I let go today, let go of resentments and unforgivingness that I have been holding onto, all the while realizing that another person may be wounded too and struggling with their own pain?

Did I keep my word today, no matter how simple a promise I may have made, knowing it meant a whole lot to someone else?

Did I make a conscious choice just to be happy today, no matter what is happening in my own life, just for the next moment, and the next moment and the next?

Did I stop caring about what other people think of me, and give myself permission to be who I am regardless of their good opinion of me or not? Did I set myself free today just by doing that?

Was I successful in noticing and appreciating the bounty before me wherever I went or was I just too busy or lost in my own thoughts to notice?

Did I contribute something beautiful to the world today? A new creation of some kind, a poem, a dinner, a dance?

Was I kind today to anyone or anything that crossed my path, no matter how trivial or how monumental? Did I give away my heart?

Is one person richer because of me today, because of my presence on the planet, my essence, my decision to keep on going no matter what?

Did I learn something new today, something about life, something about myself, something about another that I didn't know before?

Did I let go of my attachment to being right today, and open my mind to the possibility of another way, without judgement?

Will someone sleep better tonight because of me? Will they awaken in the morning believing in themselves again, and walk with their head held high?

Was I the answer to someone's prayers today?

If today was to be my last day on the planet, would I feel happy about how I lived it?

Bob Proctor's Here is your Friday Story!

A Dream World

"I look at that family, that car, that house and that job and I think, what a dream..."

I confess that years ago I gazed longingly at luxury cars. I dreamed of owning one, brand didn't matter, I wasn't picky, any one would do. I continued living in this dream world until one day I came to a simple yet powerful realization...that at one point in time a luxury car was a dream for the person who now drives it. With few exceptions, he or she didn't always have the skill or education to earn the money to buy that lavish ride. It was a dream for them...one that came to fruition through hard work and focus. I guess one could say that today, they are living a dream world?

Over time I thought more about 'living a dream world' and bringing dreams to reality, until finally I arrived at a staggering yet unmistakable conclusion that it is all a dream. In the past I glanced at a Lexus or Mercedes and thought that person is 'living in a dream world.' Over time I have expanded my thoughts to conclude that everything we see, use, consume or have is a result of a dream...let me explain.

The technology in the computer I type on at this very moment was a dream of many scientists years ago. The computer that now sits on my desk was made by a company that just a few short years ago called a garage their world wide corporate headquarters. What began as a dream of an energetic entrepreneur is now a worldwide fortune 500 company. The parts and assembly for this computer are the careful work of many hands, people who thought they would probably not be assembling computers for a living. Yet, this work lets them foster their dreams of providing a nice living for their family, an education, a new television, a daughter's wedding or a car for their teenager.

This computer now rests on my desk, one that I dreamed of having in a study that I imagined years ago. I call my study 'the room of knowing.' Its walls are lined with articles I have published, book jackets from books I have written and some awards that I have won, accomplishments I only dreamed of years ago. It is called 'the room of knowing' because I now know I can accomplish my dreams if I set my mind to it, this room reminds me of that. It could also be called the 'room of dreams,' after all, that's where it all started. I guess one could say that as I type...I am working in a dream world, a world of my dreams (the study) and others (the computer)...

As I drive to work this morning, I realize that I can run through the same 'dream' drill with my car. It was made by a company that started small...a dream. Engineers with a vision (or dream) designed it. Workers who are working a dream job because it provides for and creates their dreams assembled it. I can run the same dream drill with the STOP sign at the intersection by my home. It was put there by a crew who dreamed of working outside. In a subdivision that was a dream of a developer. Ordered by local, county and state laws, laws passed by people who dreamed of serving their community and country. The sign is in Cole County, Missouri, one of 50 states that make our great country, a country that began in the hopes, hearts and dreams of our forefathers.

I could run through the same dream thought process as I pass the local McDonalds restaurant, my CPA's office, the public library or the state capital. I could do the same with the water at my tap or the road I drive on or the Green Tea that I quietly sip but that would be redundant, you get the point, each and everything around us is part of a dream that has reached fruition. This reality proves dreams do come true. That anything we touch, have, hold or use is a result of the hopes, energies and imaginations of the ones who create it...it is part of a dream world. Focus on 'a dream world' for just five minutes today and you will realize an appreciation, astonishment and empowerment that you have not felt before...you will literally be opening your eyes, for a first time, in a dream.
